We believe that we overcome by the power of Jesus and the word of our testimony. The accomplishments listed below are only possible through the Grace of God and the support of our wonderful community at Second Chances. We pray that as you read these stories you will be encouraged by what the Lord is doing in and through our ministry.

Q4 2023 Accomplishments
20 backpacks filled with school supplies and 1 pair of shoes for each homeless child - requested by Tatum Volunteer Fire Dept.
Free “First Day of School” clothes offered to all teachers and staff - any school in the area
MRCC Senior Youth group service project - drawstring packs filled with supplies for the homeless Delisa to speak to 6th graders at MRCC about the ministry
Delisa to be featured on Channel 9, Monday - July 22, as the“Hometown Hero”
Possibility of fundraiser event in the Fall
128 tents given to homeless
140 sleeping bags to homeless
700 hygiene kits to homeless
200 bus passes per week (total of 1,100 for 3rd quarter)
Cold lunch Monday-Saturday plus hot meal Tuesday-Saturday
109 Identification cards obtained for homeless
43 Birth certificates obtained for homeless
39 individuals placed in sober living
Housing for 3 families (total of 12 individuals)
23 currently have jobs/7 are in treatment
All others in programs except 2 who need special programs for severe mental health and anger challenges

Expanded Shop to 3rd Suite!!!!
Hamburger/Hotdog cookout for homeless friends
37 people assisted to obtain ID cards
29 people assisted to obtain birth certificates
22 were placed in Sober Living - 19 still there and working Full time
39 tents given away
150 sleeping bags given away
Preparing ~1,500 meals/week: average feeding 250/daily x 6 days/week
Monday’s are “Dress out” - clean clothe Monday’s are “Dress out” - clean clothes are given to the homeless and feeding day. The store is not open for customers.
$1,800 spent on housing 4 sets of people in acute crisis for one week each. This is especially used for families with children.

Q3 2025 Accomplishments
Gave out 1,630 hygiene packs.
Made 31,500 sack lunches and 25,200 hot meals.
Gave out 80,000 bottles of water.
With BeHeard’s trailer parked in our back parking lot, we provided 620 showers and did 210 loads of laundry.
Sent 194 people to detox and 69 people to treatment following detox.
Helped 93 people get jobs.
Provided clothes and supplies for 1,028 released inmates.
Helped pay for 212 people in sober living.
Provided weekly hotel stays for 86 people and nightly hotel stays for 54 people.
Helped 64 families reunite.
Obtained 422 IDs; 69 driver’s licenses; and 162 birth certificates.
Gave out 12 Greyhound bus tickets so individuals could be reunited with family.
Provided utility assistance for 17 people.
